    Microsoft says Russians hacked its network, viewing source code

    “Intruders can search the source code for software flaws that they might exploit, adding new weapons to their cyberwarfare arsenal,” Mike Chapple said in a Washington Post article. Chapple is a teaching professor of information technology at Notre Dame's Mendoza College of Business and a former computer scientist with the National Security Agency.

    Microsoft says hackers viewed its source code

    Mike Chapple, a former National Security Agency official and an information technology professor at the University of Notre Dame, said in a CNN Business piece the attackers were likely looking for potential security vulnerabilities in Microsoft products that they could exploit to gain access to users of those products.
