Peter Rocca, CSC, rector of the Basilica of the Sacred Heart, narrates this video about the symbolism and artistry of the stained glass windows of the St. Matthew Chapel, located in the Stayer Center for Executive Education.

The Chapel was made possible through a generous gift of Cyrus (Notre Dame ’57) and Mitzi Freidheim. Mr. Freidheim is the retired president and CEO of Sun-Times Media Group. Each of the five saints represented was chosen mindfully for the Mendoza College of Business and Freidheim family.

St. Matthew, patron saint of accountants, and appropriate choice for the business school, is shown in the middle pane. St. Cyrus and St. Marguerite are the patron saints of the Freidheim’s, while Saints Stephen and John represent the couple’s sons.
