Joseph Smith, a 2021 M.S. in Business Analytics candidate, shares why our Chicago-based program was the best fit for his needs, and why he chose to pursue his degree at the Mendoza College of Business.
I selected a business analytics degree because I find it very fulfilling to help drive impactful insights out of data.
Businesses have a vast amount of untapped data that can help shape their business or create new products. In most cases they just don’t know how to leverage this asset. That is where I love to step in and help.
Selecting the Notre Dame business analytics program came down to program structure and overall reputation of the business program.
I knew didn’t want a 100-percent online program, so the cohort’s face-to-face aspect was of great value to me.
It also helped that classes met in Chicago, which made personal travel plans simple.
For those who are considering this program from Notre Dame, I would say that the cohort interaction while learning about analytics has been the most valuable part of this experience.
You can’t get this level of interaction doing an online program.
