University of Notre Dame alumnus gives school $10 million gift, which school will match

A University of Notre Dame alumnus has donated $10 million to his alma mater to fund master’s of business administration fellowships.

The university announced Monday it would match the $10 million being donated by Kenneth Meyer, the retired chairman and chief executive officer of Lincoln Capital Management Co. The money will fund eight fellowships a year.

The school said the fellowships will be a critical component of the newly established Meyer Family Center for MBA Studies. The center also will sponsor an annual distinguished guest lecture focusing on ethical business leadership.

Notre Dame’s president, the Rev. John Jenkins, said the fellowships will elevate an already strong business program into a world-class one that emphasizes the values of leadership and character.
