Kickstarter co-founder Charles Adler interviewed on With a Side of Knowledge podcastKickstarter, which celebrated its 10th anniversary in April, was created by Charles Adler, Perry Chen, and Yancey Strickler to help “artists, musicians, filmmakers, designers, and other creators find the resources and support they need to make their ideas a reality.” Adler visited Notre Dame as part of the Mendoza College of Business’s Ten Years Hence Speaker Series, which explores issues, ideas, and trends likely to affect business and society over the next decade.

2019 McCloskey new venture competition results17 area teams were awarded more than $350,000 in cash and in-kind prizes at the 2019 McCloskey New Venture Competition on Friday, April 12. Resonado and Vital View Technologies split the $50,000 McCloskey Grand Prize, which is awarded to teams founded by Notre Dame students or alumni.

Notre Dame Undergrad Team takes second place at the Rice Business Plan CompetitionResonado, which aims to redefine the shape of sound with its patented Flat Core Speaker Technology, won the $300,000 GOOSE Society Investment Prize and the $125,000 Finger Interests, Anderson Family Fund, Greg Novak and Tracy Druce Second-Place Investment Prize. The 19-year-old Rice Business Plan Competition, with 42 teams from around the globe and $2.9 million in cash and prizes, is the largest and richest in the world.
