University of Notre Dame undergraduate and graduate students are invited to compete in the third annual DEI Grow the Good in Business Case Competition hosted by the Mendoza College of Business. The deadline for registration is March 8.

Students compete in teams of two to four members, with one student per team required to be a Mendoza student. Each team submits written and oral solutions to a business challenge related to equity and inclusion to a panel of judges. For 2024, the case asks students to examine the rise of private equity in health care and its role in addressing health disparities and ultimately health equity.

The competition includes undergraduate and graduate tracks with cash prizes of $10,000, $5,000 and $2,500 awarded to the top three teams in each track.

The timeline is as follows:

  • March 8 at 11:59 p.m. ET: Registration closes.
  • March 22 at 11:59 p.m. ET: Round 1 submissions due.
  • April 2: The top three teams for the undergraduate and graduate tracks are announced.
  • April 12 at 10:00 a.m. ET: Final round and networking event to be held in the Stayer Center.

The DEI Grow the Good in Business Case Competition is sponsored by KPMG, ADP, 1st Source Bank, Beacon Health, the South Bend–Elkhart Regional Partnership and the Notre Dame Institute for Global Investing. Strategic partners include the Fanning Center for Business Communication, the Notre Dame Deloitte Center for Ethical Leadership, the Fitzgerald Institute for Real Estate and Summa Health.
